Program Overview

The Language for Business course is a 6-week pre-sessional program designed to improve academic English level to the standard of a Masters degree. The program is taught by expert language teachers and focuses on the skills needed for business degrees.

The curriculum for this pre-sessional course is developed in collaboration with Leeds University Business School, using research into English language teaching. Students will focus closely on the skills needed for their subject area, studying with students progressing to business degrees. The course includes:

• Introductory academic lectures exploring different themes over six weeks
• Language classes and seminars to understand content and language used
• Core texts and materials relevant to business degrees

Entry Requirements

To apply for this pre-sessional course, students need:

• 6.0 overall IELTS score with no components below 5.5 (if the Masters requires an overall IELTS score of 6.5)

• The minimum age for students studying on this course is 18 years old
