Course Structure

The course is structured over four years for the MEng and three years for the BEng, with an optional industrial placement year available for the MEng. Each academic year, students take a total of 120 credits.

Learning and Teaching

Studio-based learning is at the heart of the student experience, with open-ended and creative architectural design projects used to demonstrate and develop knowledge. The course is centered in a new studio space designed to host lectures, tutorials, and personal study.

Assessment

Assessments closely match the type of work and tasks undertaken in a professional work environment, including project work, written examinations, and coursework in the form of posters, presentations, and reports.

Entry Requirements

• A-level: AAA including Mathematics.
• GCSE: English Language grade 4 (C) or higher.
• Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), International Project Qualification (IPQ), and Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (ASCC): We recognize the value of these qualifications.
• Access to HE Diploma: Pass 60 credits overall with 45 credits at Level 3.
• BTEC: DDD with Distinctions in all Mathematics units.
• Cambridge Pre-U: D3, D3, D3 including Mathematics.
• International Baccalaureate: 18 points at higher level to include 6 points in Mathematics.
