• Year 1: Students take 120 credits from modules such as Professional Perspectives, Networking Theory and Practice, Web Technologies, Introduction to Unix/Linux Operating Systems and Shell Programming, Database Systems, Imperative Programming Foundations, and Python Programming.
• Year 2: Students take 120 credits from modules such as Industrial Projects, Application Development, Human-Computer Interaction for User Experience, AI and Game Design, Applied Data Science with Python, and System Administration and Maintenance.
• Year 3: Students take 120 credits from modules such as Individual Project, Computer and Network Security, Advanced Data Management and Analytics, Research Methods, and optional modules like Creative Visualisation, Internet of Things, and Advanced Game Development.

• City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma: considered on a case-by-case basis.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma is accepted.
• Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted.

Fees and Costs

The tuition fees for the course are:

• UK and Ireland: ｣9,790 (full-time), ｣1,958 (placement year), ｣1,468 (international experience year).
• International: ｣20,000 (full-time).

Welsh Provision

There are opportunities to study through the medium of Welsh, with scholarships and bursaries available for students who study part of their course in Welsh. The university offers support for Welsh-speaking students, including a Welsh-speaking personal tutor and the opportunity to present work in Welsh.

You will spend about 12 hours in lectures and 8 in laboratories each week. You will also have tutorials in to work on software design, technical skills and complete various problem-solving assignments. You will have an opportunity to undertake individual and team projects, including the Industry led development team project in year 2. Project work will allow you to develop your creative design and technical skills as well as apply the theoretical principles you have learned. Modules are assessed by examinations, continuous assessment or a combination.
