• Year 1: Foundations of pharmacology and pharmaceutical science, fundamental chemistry, introduction to biosciences, microbes, pathogens, and immunity, and molecules to cells.
• Year 2: Biochemistry of cellular metabolism, drug design and development, further chemical analysis and spectroscopy, further chemistry and practical skills, and pharmacology.
• Year 3: Advanced drug design and development, biosciences research project, global health challenges, and optional modules such as advanced organic chemistry and materials chemistry, advanced practical skills in chemistry, and advanced synthetic chemistry.
• Year 4: Biosciences integrated master's research project, and optional modules such as brain disorders, cancer - bench to bedside, drug development from concept to clinic, emerging therapeutics in immunology, frontiers in materials chemistry, and frontiers in organic chemistry.

Entry Requirements

The typical entry requirements for the program include:

• A levels: AAA, including biology and chemistry
• Access to HE Diploma: considered on a case-by-case basis
• Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales: accepted in place of one A level
• BTEC Extended Diploma: considered for entry to the BSc Hons course variant
• International Baccalaureate: 36 points overall, with 16 points from the best 3 HL subjects
• GCSE requirements: mathematics grade 5/B, English language grade 4/C
• English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each component
